About us

History

Webforum Europe AB was founded in 1997 by a research group at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, as the result of several IT-research projects. The aim was to develop user-friendly IT tools for the planning and implementation of technical projects, and for publishing information on the Internet.

The company was started under the name MCIT AB at the Stockholm Technology Park (Teknikhöjden), an incubator for new businesses. Initially, company activities were focused on IT-applications for the engineering sector. The IT-concept soon proved to have a much wider use in several other areas, besides technical applications.

We are Webforum, a platform for structured collaborations in strategic projects.

Our mission

To contribute to the building of a better world by fighting waste in projects.

Ineffective collaboration and information management is one of the largest obstacles when successfully creating and changing things. Our customers entrust us with their important strategic projects, and we in turn want reciprocate that trust by supporting them with good tools and to challenge the way they work.

A lot has happened since we, during the infancy of the internet, started as an initiative at KTH to connect research projects. Now, we mostly work with large construction projects and project-intensive organizations with a lot of documentation.

We simply can’t stand watching how important projects are being torn apart by inadequate tools! Contact us to discuss how we together can take your important investments to the next level.
